Trees for survival
On the wednesday 4th of April room 13 had another block of trees for survival. The lady helped us weed the plants so the don't get overtaken by the weeds and then plant stops growing, the weeds also compete for the soil the the plant needs to grow healthy and strong with. We also did a little trimming of the plants that hasn't been trimmed properly. When you trim a plant you measure it from 30cm to 40cm then you trim it.
If a plant had not grown we would tip the soil out to use for the plants that needed to be topped up with soil. Some children mixed water with fertilizer to poor on the plants, fertilizer helps the plants grow and gives them the minerals they need to grow strong and healthy.
It was tiring work in the heat of the sun and we got a bit dirty but we were all pleased with our work and the plants looked like they were growing well and are nearly ready to be planted around the community!
