On Friday 10th of March, was the Year 5&6 swimming sports. Everyone was very excited to compete against one another. It was a very cloudy and rainy day, worst of all we had to walk from our school, ALLLLLLL the way to Sacred Heart! It was very tiring but we had fun walking while talking, because if we had to go on a bus then we couldn't be too loud.
We have been practising at home and last Friday really hard, to get ready for this big event, and now it has arrived.Everyone was very excited to start, but it was very noisy. We started with the Year 5 Girls on Freestyle. There were lots of speed in the swimming, and lots of good technique. Then it was the Year 5 Boys Freestyle, after that Year 6 Girls Freestyle, and so on. After all of that, it was the finals and the top 3 girls and boys for both years, get to be in the final round for freestyle, backstroke, breast stroke, and butterfly. Finally it was the relays, Room 4 came first , Room 27 came second, Room 13 came third, and Room 12 came last, for the Year 5 Girls&Boys. For the Year 6 Boys & Girls, Room 16 came first, Room 14 came second, Room 15 came third, and Room 27 came last.
What a tiring day, with so much swimming!
