Room 13's trees for survival trip

Trees for survival

Trees for survival is a organisation that some schools are picked to do. One class is chosen to help by raising and growing plants. The plants that we had planted at the start of the year we were going to plant. It was a long and bumpy ride to Clevedon on the bus. Room 13 (and some room 4 & 12 students) sat down to have morning tea. We had a talk about safety with the Marinny who helped us with our planting. We went down and started planting. Some of us worked in groups others worked by our selves. The parent helped by digging holes (even though some of the other people could dig holes for themselves). That day we planted around 400 plants! All of the classes worked together really well and I think we did a awesome job! The classes had lunch on the deck at the owner of the lands house. The had provided lunch for us, it was vegetable soup and sausages, bread and tomato sauce even though some people didn't have the sauce.

Thank you parents for your help and company it was awesome that you came along and helped us plant the trees. Thank you Marinny for helping us and teaching us about how to plant!
